Hi! My name is Rachel. I’m moving to Saipan in August for a 2-year NOAA Coastal Management Fellowship. The purpose of this blog is to allow friends and family to keep up with my day-to-day life on the island over the next two years, but I hope that others find it interesting and helpful as well. Enjoy! 🙂

Hi Rachel, I just found your blog and am excited to hear about your living experience in CNMI! I recently got accepted for the NOAA Coral Reef Management Fellowship stationed in CNMI. I am unsure of the exact details, but I believe I will be moving there in January 2016! I was hoping I could hear more about what it’s like living in Saipan and if you have been to any of the other islands. I think I will be housed on Rota. Anyways good luck with your fellowship, maybe we will meet each other some time in the near future!

      Hi Autumn,

First of all, congratulations on your fellowship! I’d be more than happy to tell you more about island life and answer any questions you might have. I’m also currently working on my next blog post, which is going to be a “moving to island” guide for other people who are new to moving here. Feel free to shoot me an email at rbouch@ufl.edu!
